River Romp Tubes and Kayaks Rentals features tubing in the Smokies, with a convenient location less than five miles from Dollywood. Each trip takes approximately two hours, depending on river conditions. Your tubing experience begins at the Barn and goes approximately 2.5 miles where you exit to a pavilion with a phone that is hot-lined to the office. Fun for the entire family!
Good To Know
I can't ay enough about the River Romp!! Everyone was super nice and helpful!! We took tubes down the river twice and both times it was so peaceful and relaxing. I liked that it wasn't in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the area. I can't say enough about how impressed we were with this operation!! Would highly recommend and would absolutely go every time we are in the area!!
A group of 13 of us went down the river on tubes with a pre warning that it would b slow. There still were some Rapids and great times! We went gem mining here a couple days later-great deal at $10 a bag! To top it off my nephew left his wife's wallet there and they called us to let us know. Not sure why you would go anywhere else-support this fine business!
This time we could not tube because of the low river so keep that in mind. It is well worth it when you can though. It's cheap and you can tube all day. Do a rain dance!!
We chose this tubing place the first day because it was close to where we were staying but then we came back the second day because we had so much fun. The third day, we tried another highly rated tubing place for a change of pace and were disappointed. So we came back to River Romp for another day. This place is the best!!! The nicest scenery along the river banks, the cleanest water with wonderful spots for swimming and rock collecting, the nicest staff by far, reasonable prices, and the least crowded. We can't say enough good things about River Romp. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Tennessee.

When are you open?
Our Season runs from the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend through Monday of Labor Day Weekend. Additionally if weather and River conditions permit, we will be open on weekends in May and September.
Where are you located?
We are conveniently located at 1980 Pittman Center Road, Sevierville, TN (Sevier County). Only 4.5 miles from the Dollywood Entrance on Veterans Blvd. From the Dollywood Entrance on Veterans Blvd. proceed to the next Red light (Jayell Rd) - take a right and continue on Jayell (exactly 3 miles long) till you reach the only Stop sign at Pittman center. Take a left in front of the Citgo gas station and go 2/10ths of a mile - where you will see the gray "Barn" on your left. Pull in and leave the rest to us!
What River do you tube/kayak on?
We are located on the Little Pigeon River, which begins in the heart of the Tennessee side of the Smoky Mountains and passes through residential areas. We are strictly a God-fed river. We do not receive benefits of the TVA or North Carolina waterways which are opened on designated days for White Water Rafting. This is why we strongly recommend you phone before coming so we can give you a daily report of the river conditions
Are there any age, weight or ability restrictions?
Children 2-4 are welcome to tube with us free of charge; however, they must ride in the same tube with an adult. Children 5-17, as well as all adults are welcome.
We are honored to say we have been blessed to serve the needs of numerous mobility challenged individuals due to our easy access to the River and exit from the River. Although we have no height, weight or ability restrictions, we will advise our customers of the daily River conditions to the best of our ability, including shallow and deep sections
Is there any reason you will close?
Two years ago East TN suffered one of the worst droughts in nearly 100 years. We opted to close 32 days of our 102 day Season, rather than have our guest “carry” their tubes down River.
Additionally, we monitor several local weather stations, the National Weather website, and a Federal website that monitors rate of River flow per cubic foot and River height. We will apprise our guests of River and Weather conditions to the best of our ability and prefer to close, than possibly remotely endanger our guests.
